Types Of Aquariums.
Even though a majority of the aquariums are used to keep fish, not all of them are used for the marine animals. There are also aquariums for aquatic plans and they too are beautiful. The fish bowl is the simplest aquarium. When an aquarium from a fish bowl, the container should be big enough. Some of the requirements include a small net and two, one gallon bottles of unionized drinking water. It is not advisable to use tap water. Treated water is also not safe. Another important requirement is fish food. One requires to fill the fish bowl with water and then cover it with a plastic cover, in setting up the aquarium. This is to prevent the fish from jumping out or another pet jumping in. It is a requirement that one replaces twenty percent of the water on a weekly basis. Water from the tap should only be used after some type of treatment. It is done by filling the one gallon of bottle half way, then water conditioner and then a cap is placed tightly. After treatment, the water is left three days after which it can be put in the fish bowl.
The other type is the cool water aquarium. Cool water aquariums are do not require heating since the fish placed inside go well in normal room temperatures. Installing such aquarium requires one to have an aquarium, aquarium stand and its cover. Additionally, one needs to have a five inch fish net, fish food and water conditioner. Reading the instructions contained in the aquarium and the water conditioner is however important. After the structure is complete, one should wait for three days before placing fish inside. Only one fish should be added at a time and it should take three weeks before one fish and another. One foot fish should be calculated to have one gallon of water. This avoids overcrowding which is not healthy for fish.
Warm water aquarium is another type of quarium. This type however is more technical and requires skills to maintain. In its making, it requires an aquarium, aquarium cover, a stand and a power filter with BIO-wheel. A fish net of 5 inch and a bottle of water conditioner is also required. In addition, floating flake fish food are vital together with dried blood worms for feeding the fish.
One can also decide to also have a betta fish vase aquarium. There has been a notion that betta fish can live by consuming lily roots alone. Even though the fish eats the lily roots, it is not the most healthy option. The variety that should be fed to the food includes floating food and dried blood worms.
